Collection: TOYS McCOY TOYS McCOY

TOYS McCOY is a company that has created epoch-making products, such as flight jackets that became an explosive boom in Japan around the 1990s, and the "Buco helmet" which spearheaded that boom and later became the originator of the small jet helmet category by miniaturizing the shell while clearing safety standards. They also produce ultimate action figures with clothing and accessories that not only reproduce subtle expressions but also pursue realism in materials and stitching. The founder of this company is Hiroshi Okamoto.

It all started with Steve McQueen...

"Meeting Steve McQueen was a big turning point. When I was a child, watching TV and movies, McQueen was always there, and he was so cool. I became more and more fascinated not only by McQueen himself, but also by the items around him, like 'that bike he's riding is a Triumph' or 'is that jacket an A-2?'" (according to Okamoto). TOYS McCOY Product can be described as a company that spontaneously formed when men obsessed with the charm of American vintage clothing came together.

They wanted to wear their beloved vintage items from pristine new condition until they were worn out. They also wanted to wear the clothes of the movie heroes they saw when they were children. To do this, they had no choice but to create the same items from scratch themselves.

The path was arduous. How difficult it was to search for and continue to use old-fashioned craftsmanship that was rapidly disappearing, natural materials that would age like vintage items through use, and old sewing machines that applied the stitches that defined their unique look. However, their obsession with detail, which deviated from fashion norms, gradually attracted more supporters.

It might be more appropriate to call TOYS McCOY's products, imbued with the desire to create authentic items, "works of art" rather than "merchandise."
