Wesco began manufacturing engineer boots in 1939 as "safety boots for machine work."
At the time, industrialization in America was accelerating, and machinists eagerly adopted these new, highly safe boots.
They were also widely used by dock workers during World War II.
Furthermore, while lace-up boots were prevalent in the pre-war motorcycle scene,
engineer boots, offering both safety and high water resistance, became extremely popular after the war.
Wesco's rugged and robust construction, in particular, gained enthusiastic support from high-end motorcyclists,
and since the 90s, they have been loved by bikers worldwide under the model name "BOSS."
Today, with a wide array of customizable parts like leather colors, soles, stitching, and buckles,
they are truly worthy of the title "King of Boots," beloved globally as a fashion item.

Based in Scappoose, Oregon, Wesco was founded in 1918 by John Henry Shoemaker.
At 16, he learned shoemaking at Bradley Shoe Company and Goodyear Shoe Company in the West, then went independent.

　　They are crafted through 155 traditional handcrafted steps, showcasing high technical skill.
　　Among these, Wesco's stitchdown construction method, which they have stubbornly upheld since their founding, is a traditional American method that is now rarely seen elsewhere,

　　To prevent deformation, protect the arch, and reduce strain on the feet, they proactively adopted the use of "steel shanks,"
　　which are more labor-intensive to manufacture, ahead of other boot manufacturers.
