■WAREHOUSE Reverse Weave Style Crewneck Sweatshirt Lot.483 U of D
![]() Model: 175cm tall, 62kg, wearing size L When you pick up this sweatshirt, the first thing that will surprise you is its "weight." This newly developed sweatshirt is the result of repeated trial and error to recreate the RW type of the 1960s. This innovative athletic sweatshirt, which uses the fabric horizontally to reduce shrinkage, tends to draw attention to its side panels, but its characteristic lies in its "yarn." The fabric, knitted with a thorough degree of tightness, is hard yet elastic, and heavy yet soft and fluffy. And what Warehouse is particular about is the "grain" of the fabric. The "grain of the fabric standing up" usually means "vertical lines" in normal sweatshirts, but in this RW model, it means "horizontal lines." To make the grain stand out, not only the yarn count but also the degree of tightness, among other things, were repeatedly changed. What they arrived at was the unusual "double-ply" yarn for a sweatshirt. Normally, a sweatshirt is knitted by combining one yarn each for the front, middle, and back, but by using double-ply yarn, it became easier to achieve a tighter knit. Furthermore, due to the characteristics of the loopwheeled knitting machine, it became possible to make the fabric hard while maintaining its elasticity, and to make the surface grain stand out. Historically, with later-adopted sinker knitting machines, even with the same yarn specifications, the fabric would become too hard, and the difference in the finished knit is said to be clear. The "weight" of the finished fabric requires skilled work during dyeing and sewing as well. Dyeing places a greater load than usual, and sewing is not as easy as with lightweight knitwear. The "baton relay" of cooperation in all processes—fabric, dyeing, and sewing—is the "heaviness" of this RW-type sweatshirt. And I will also mention the original RW model below. Surprisingly, when analyzing the torn parts of a 1960s vintage garment, commonly known as a "tataki tag," it was found that "double-ply" yarn was exposed. The pioneering spirit of those who uncompromisingly attempted to develop athletic wear, while still being pastoral, is discovered precisely through the "pursuit of endless detail." Loopwheeled brushed back fabric for reverse weave style Navy and black have cracked prints, while oatmeal and heather gray have discharge prints. *The following shrinkage will occur after washing. Weight: 740g ![]() Since its establishment in 1995, despite being in the fashion industry which is susceptible to trends, this brand has pursued the theme of "faithful reproduction of vintage clothing" without being swayed by them. They thoroughly research a single vintage item they encounter, considering the background of the era in which it was produced, from every single thread to the fabric, sewing, and washing process. ![]() Black ![]() Navy ![]() Oatmeal ![]() Heather Gray
