This is a standard loopwheeled sweatshirt whose specifications have not changed for over 20 years. The detail of coarse overlock threads showing between the two stitches is usually only seen in vintage garments, but we have achieved it by modifying our sewing machines. The brushed lining, once called cotton fleece-lined, is also reproduced by brushing the fabric while it is still tubular. We use a loopwheel knitting machine that is most suitable for reproducing the texture of vintage clothing. For gray and oatmeal, the connecting yarn (count 40) and the back yarn (count 8) are made of organic cotton brown, giving them a strong reddish tint. The yarn count is set to bring out the strong vertical grain. Fabrics knitted on a loopwheel machine fall downwards as they are knitted, so there is no tension applied during winding, and the fabric is knitted with air. This means that the fabric itself shrinks significantly with washing and drying, but it has a unique soft texture that wraps around the skin, which cannot be achieved with other knitting machines. 【403 Set-in Freedom】 Around the neck, the overlock threads are positioned on both the front and back to allow the threads to withstand the fabric's stretch. This not only reinforces the neck area, which is most prone to thread breakage, but also creates a more pronounced contrast due to the difference in fading between the body fabric and the threads as it is worn. Furthermore, extra-thick threads are used around the neck. Tubular Rib Cuffs and Tubular Waistband: Like the body fabric, the sleeve and waist ribs are tubularly knitted using a knitting machine of a specific size. Because color matching is required, this process involves more than twice the effort of cutting a circular body (meaning splitting the tubular fabric) for a regular sweatshirt. Two-needle stitching with American inch sizes. The wide stitch pitch and the relatively coarse inner overlock threads visible from the outside are details only seen in vintage SWEATs. "Set-in freedom" features set-in shoulders and freedom sleeves from the armpits, enhancing arm mobility. ※The following shrinkage occurs after washing.
