■WAREHOUSE Lot 3104 FLANNEL SHIRTS F-pattern Check Flannel Shirt
![]() Model: 175cm tall, 62kg weight, wearing size S Lot 3104 FLANNEL SHIRTS F-pattern Check Flannel Shirt Warehouse flannel shirts are made using power looms, which are only found in a limited number of regions in Japan. The reason for using power looms to make flannel fabric is not simply to create "selvedge flannel fabric." Selvedge is merely a byproduct. The purpose is that using power looms allows the fabric to be finished without losing the texture of slub yarn. Similar to denim, the yarn used to weave vintage flannel shirts was uneven slub yarn in that era. If that yarn is woven with high tension on a modern loom, it becomes a different fabric. The inherent properties of the yarn would be lost. By weaving with old-fashioned power looms, the fabric can be woven without losing the inherent unevenness of the yarn. The power looms used to weave flannel shirts are the same twill looms used for denim. Flannel shirts require a pattern, so they are designed to weave multi-colored yarns. The warp threads move up and down intricately according to the pattern, and shuttles with different colored weft threads alternately move back and forth between them. In this way, flannel woven with the moderate tension characteristic of power looms becomes a fabric without losing the inherent unevenness of each thread. The finished flannel fabric is then brushed on the back, following the manufacturing methods of the time. Brushing creates a soft expression in the pattern. Furthermore, brushing creates bulk in the fabric, elevating the power loom's unique feel to an even softer one. Thus, flannel woven on power looms possesses a texture that can only be achieved by reproducing the yarn itself. The simplest way to identify this is the presence or absence of selvedge, and just like vintage flannel shirts from around the 1960s, Warehouse also uses selvedge in the gusset area. ※The following shrinkage will occur after washing: Length: approx. 3-4cm Shoulder width: approx. 3cm Body width: approx. 2cm Sleeve length: approx. 2cm Weight: 620g ![]() Since its establishment in 1995, this brand has pursued the theme of "faithful reproduction of vintage clothing," never being swayed by the ever-changing trends of the fashion industry. They thoroughly research every aspect, from the single thread to the fabric, sewing, and washing process, considering the historical context of the era in which a vintage piece, encountered by chance, was produced. ![]() ![]() Navy ![]() ![]() Brown
