■WAREHOUSE Flannel Shirt Long Sleeve Check Pattern A One Wash WH3104
![]() Model: Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, Wearing M A classic, carefully crafted model, made with original fabric using rare power looms Introducing WAREHOUSE's annual classic flannel shirt. The fabric for the flannel shirts, which have been produced since the company's establishment in 1995, is made using power looms that remain only in limited regions of Japan. These power looms can only produce a limited amount of fabric per day and require the skill of experienced craftsmen. There's a reason why these inefficient power looms are used to create flannel fabric. That's because using power looms allows the fabric to be finished without compromising the texture of slub yarn. Just like denim, vintage flannel shirts were made from slub yarn, which was uneven in texture. If this yarn were woven with strong tension on a modern loom, it would result in a different fabric, losing the original properties of the yarn. By weaving on old-style power looms, the flannel is woven with appropriate tension, allowing the inherent unevenness of each thread to remain in the fabric. Once the flannel fabric is made, it undergoes a napping process on the back, following the methods of the time. Napping gives the pattern a soft appearance, creates fullness in the fabric, and further enhances the soft touch unique to power loom weaving. Thus, flannel woven on power looms possesses a texture that can only be achieved by reproducing the yarn itself. The simplest way to identify this is the presence or absence of selvedge (ears). Just like vintage flannel shirts from around the 1960s, WAREHOUSE also uses selvedge in the gusset. Pre-washed, so it will not shrink further. Weight: 620g ![]() Since its establishment in 1995, WAREHOUSE has been a brand that, while operating in the trend-driven fashion industry, steadfastly adheres to its theme of "faithful reproduction of vintage clothing," never being swayed by passing fads. They thoroughly research every detail, from a single thread to the fabric, stitching, and washing process, for each vintage item they encounter, considering the historical context in which it was produced. ![]() Beige ![]() ![]() Brown
