■WAREHOUSE Lot 3022 Plaid Chin Strap Long Sleeve Flannel Shirt Pattern H
![]() Model: Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, Wearing Size 38 Lot 3022 FLANNEL SHIRTS Pattern H Plaid Flannel Shirt Warehouse flannel shirts are made using power looms that remain only in limited regions of Japan. The reason for using power looms to make flannel fabric is not simply to create "flannel fabric with selvage." Selvage is merely a byproduct. The purpose is that by using power looms, the texture of uneven yarn can be preserved in the finished fabric. Similar to denim, the yarn used to weave vintage flannel shirt fabric was uneven and irregular during that era. If this yarn were woven with high tension on modern looms, it would result in a different fabric. The inherent properties of the yarn would be lost. By weaving with old-fashioned power looms, the inherent unevenness of the yarn can be preserved in the fabric. The power looms used to weave flannel shirts are twill looms, similar to those used for denim. Since flannel shirts require patterns, they are designed to weave multi-colored yarns. The warp threads move up and down intricately according to the pattern, and shuttles carrying different colored weft threads move back and forth, replacing each other. In this way, flannel woven with the appropriate tension characteristic of power looms becomes a fabric that preserves the inherent unevenness of each thread. The woven flannel fabric is then brushed on the back, following traditional manufacturing methods. Brushing creates a soft expression in the pattern. Furthermore, brushing adds volume to the fabric, elevating the power loom's unique texture to an even softer feel. Thus, flannel woven on power looms possesses a texture that can only be achieved by reproducing the yarn itself. The simplest way to identify this is the presence or absence of selvage (ears), and just like vintage flannel shirts from around the 1960s, Warehouse also uses selvage in the gusset. ※The following shrinkage will occur after washing: Length: Approx. 2-3cm, Shoulder Width: Approx. 1cm, Body Width: Approx. 2cm, Sleeve Length: Approx. 2cm Weight: 490g ![]() Since its establishment in 1995, WAREHOUSE has pursued the theme of "faithful reproduction of vintage clothing," never swayed by trends in the fashion industry.
