■ROCKY MOUNTAIN FEATHERBED Pinstripe Down Vest
ROCKY MOUNTIN FEATHERBED
Model
Height: 175 cm, Weight: 62 kg, Wearing Size 38

The Rocky Mountain Featherbed down vest was born in the 1960s in Wyoming, USA,
inspired by Native American capes.
Boasting the warmth and heat retention of a down comforter (FEATHERED), it enjoyed overwhelming support,
but the brand disappeared in the late 1980s. In the vintage market, it came to be traded at high prices, primarily among enthusiasts.
Thoroughly researching this legendary brand, the revived Rocky Mountain Featherbed was born with a level of perfection that even surpasses the original.

The one introduced here features a colorway and specifications specially ordered by WAREHOUSE.

The outer fabric is pinstriped cotton, and the inner collar is made of corduroy fabric.
The lining uses custom-made 70-denier nylon, pursuing comfort and durability.

Made with European white duck down, considered the highest grade of down,
it is washed and treated with a water-repellent finish in Japan.
This prevents the decline in heat retention when wet, which is a weakness of down.
The fill power, which indicates the warmth of the down, boasts the highest level of 700 fill power.

The distinctive shoulder yoke is made of single-piece horsehide.
We deliberately choose and use pieces that have the natural scratches and irregularities of leather.
Made in Japan, a brand you can trust. This is an item you can wear for a long time and enjoy the aging of the leather!

The leather shoulder yoke is deliberately used with the scratches and color irregularities of the material itself left as they are.
Please understand this in advance as a characteristic of the product.

ROCKY MOUNTIN FEATHERBED
A brand born in the late 1960s in the town of Jackson, Wyoming, USA. It boasts overwhelming popularity in the vintage market as a cold-weather wear brand for cowboys. This brand, which disappeared in the 1980s, was traded at premium prices among fans, but was revived in 2005.
WAREHOUSE
Since its founding in 1995, despite being in an industry influenced by fashion trends, it is a brand that never follows them, pursuing the theme of "faithful reproduction of vintage clothing." It thoroughly researches a single piece of vintage clothing it happened to encounter, considering the background of the era in which it was produced, from every single thread to the fabric, sewing, and washing process.

CLASSIC TAFETTA
Custom-made 70D nylon taffeta, used to create the brand's signature down vest, is adopted as the lining. Currently, nylon taffeta generally available on the market has 210 threads per square inch and is waterproofed by applying an acrylic coating to the back to close the fabric's pores, but it has almost no breathability. CLASSIC TAFFETA is a high-density taffeta with over 50 more threads per square inch than that, and by applying a silicone finish instead of a coating, it achieves equivalent waterproofness while also ensuring breathability.

LEATHER
The leather is vegetable-and-chrome-tanned in combination. By using dye-dying, it retains the natural texture of the leather itself.

DOWN
The down uses European white duck down. The ratio is 90% down and 10% feather, and by deliberately adding 10% feather, it creates a lofted feel. To maintain high quality, the down is washed in Japan and treated with a water-repellent finish.

BUTTON
All buttons are a shape that is fastened by bending two prongs. The discontinued style is specially reproduced.

Maintenance

■After Use
To maintain heat retention, please store it by hanging it on a hanger after wearing it so as not to crush the loft (puffiness) of the down. By maintaining the loft, the feathers contain warm air and increase heat retention. We recommend storing it in a well-ventilated place. Also, to avoid damage to the fabric, please store it in a place away from direct sunlight.

■Protrusion
Feathers may occasionally protrude from the weave or seams of the fabric. If it comes out from the seam, it can be removed by applying duct tape and peeling it off. If it comes out from the fabric, pinch the feather from the back of the fabric where it is protruding and pull it back into the garment. Gently rubbing the area where the feather was protruding will make the protruding mark disappear.

■Leather Care
Brush or wipe dry to remove dust and dirt from the leather yoke. If there are strong stains or spots, take a small amount of leather cleaner on a soft cloth and wipe off the dirt. For daily maintenance, take a small amount of leather oil or cream on a soft cloth and spread it thinly and evenly over the entire surface. Store it by hanging it on a hanger until the oil penetrates. *Please be sure to test it on a inconspicuous area before using leather cleaner, leather oil, or cream.

■Nylon Care
Dissolve soap or neutral detergent in water, and wipe off dirt by soaking a soft sponge or brush in the solution. After that, please rinse only the parts with detergent thoroughly with water.

■Mouton Care
Lightly tap to remove dust and dirt. For strong stains, dissolve soap or neutral detergent in water, soak a soft sponge or cloth in it, and lightly tap to wipe off the dirt.
Regarding the Product
Many of the products we carry are designs based on vintage items. To emphasize the atmosphere, there may be slight sewing misalignments, fabric color and processing textures, color irregularities, and other differences in finish, but please understand these as part of the product's charm. Also, the product specifications (sewing, parts, color, size, etc.) may change without notice. We hope you enjoy it after understanding the above points.
We make products using materials that make use of the natural texture of leather itself. Therefore, color irregularities, variations in grain, slight scratches, or stains may occur. These are the inherent characteristics of leather, so we ask for your understanding.
