A legendary brand that once disappeared has been completely revived!

In the 1960s, in Wyoming, USA, the Rocky Mountain Featherbed down vest was born, inspired by Native American capes.
Boasting the warmth and insulation of a featherbed, it gained overwhelming support, but the brand disappeared in the late 1980s. In the vintage market, it began to be traded at high prices, mainly among enthusiasts.
After thorough research into this legendary brand, the revived Rocky Mountain Featherbed was born with a perfection that surpassed the original.

The item introduced here features colors and specifications exclusively ordered by Warehouse.
Warehouse supplied the fabric and leather.

This item uses canvas material. In particular, the navy vest faithfully reproduces the cotton canvas material that was actually used for riders' jackets in the 1930s, and this material is adopted for the outer shell.
While vintage Rocky Mountain Featherbed items using canvas material do exist, this navy color is unique to this special order.

The highest quality European white duck down is washed and water-repellent treated in Japan.
This prevents the loss of insulation when wet, which is a weakness of down.
The warmth of the down is boasted at the highest level of 700 fill power.

The distinctive shoulder yoke is a single piece of horsehide.
We intentionally choose and use leather that retains its original scratches and irregularities.
Reliably made in Japan. This is an item you'll want to wear for a long time and enjoy the aging of the leather!

ROCKY MOUNTIN FEATHERBED
A brand born in the town of Jackson, Wyoming, USA, in the late 1960s. It boasts overwhelming popularity in the vintage market as a cold-weather apparel brand for cowboys. This brand, which disappeared in the 80s, was traded at premium prices among fans, but was revived in 2005.
WAREHOUSE
Since its establishment in 1995, despite being in the fashion industry which is susceptible to trends, this brand has consistently pursued the theme of "faithful reproduction of vintage clothing" without being swayed by them. We thoroughly research a vintage item encountered by chance, considering the historical background of its production, from a single thread to the fabric, sewing, and even the washing process.

ROCKY MOUNTIN FEATHERBED

CLASSIC TAFFETA
This is a specially ordered 70D nylon taffeta to create the down vest that is emblematic of the brand. Currently, commonly available nylon taffeta in the market has 210 threads per inch and is coated with acrylic on the back to seal the fabric weave for waterproofing, but it has almost no breathability. CLASSIC TAFFETA is a high-density taffeta with over 50 more threads per inch, and instead of coating, it undergoes a cire finish, achieving equivalent waterproofing while ensuring breathability.

LEATHER
The leather is a combination of tannin and chrome tanning. By dyeing with dyes, the natural texture of the leather is preserved.

DOWN
The down used is European white duck down. With a blend ratio of 90% down and 10% feathers, the 10% feather content is intentionally included to create loft. To maintain high quality, the down is washed and water-repellent treated in Japan.

BUTTON
All buttons are secured by bending two prongs. The discontinued mold was specially reproduced.

Maintenance

■After Use
To maintain insulation, hang the item on a hanger after wearing to prevent crushing the down's loft (fullness). Maintaining the loft allows the feathers to trap warm air, increasing insulation. We recommend storing it in a well-ventilated area. Also, to avoid damage to the fabric, store it in a place away from direct sunlight.

■Down Leakage
Occasionally, feathers may protrude from the fabric weave or seams. If they emerge from a seam, they can be removed by applying and peeling off masking tape. If they emerge from the fabric, pinch the feather from the inside of the fabric at the protrusion point and pull it back into the garment. Gently rubbing the area where the feather emerged will make the mark disappear.

■Leather Care
Brush or dry wipe to remove dust and dirt from the leather yoke. For stubborn dirt or stains, apply a small amount of leather cleaner to a soft cloth and wipe off the dirt. For daily maintenance, apply a small amount of leather conditioning oil or cream to a soft cloth and spread it thinly and evenly over the entire surface. Store it on a hanger until the oil has permeated. *Always test leather cleaner, conditioning oil, or cream on an inconspicuous area before use.

■Nylon Care
Dissolve soap or neutral detergent in water, then use a soft sponge or brush soaked in this solution to wipe away dirt. Afterward, thoroughly rinse only the parts that have detergent with water.

Regarding the Product
