A legendary brand that once disappeared has been completely revived!

In the 1960s, in Wyoming, USA,
Rocky Mountain Featherbed's down vests were born, inspired by Native American capes.
Boasting down-comforter-like (FEATHERED) warmth and heat retention, they gained overwhelming support,
but the brand disappeared in the late 1980s. In the vintage market, they began to be traded at high prices, primarily among enthusiasts.
After thoroughly researching this legendary brand, the revived Rocky Mountain Featherbed was born,
with a level of perfection that surpasses the original.

The model we are introducing here features special coloring and specifications commissioned by Warehouse.
Warehouse supplied the fabric and leather.

The Christy Down Vest is a standard model with added sheep mouton on the collar lining,
providing enhanced warmth.

The outer and inner fabrics use specially ordered 70-denier nylon, pursuing comfort and durability.

The down, considered the highest quality, is European white duck down,
washed and water-repellent treated in Japan.
This prevents the decrease in warmth when wet, which is a weakness of down.
The fill power, indicating the warmth of the down, boasts a top-level 700 fill power.

The distinctive shoulder yoke is made from a single piece of horsehide.
It is intentionally chosen to retain natural leather imperfections and irregularities.
Reliably made in Japan. This is an item to wear for a long time and enjoy the aging of the leather!

ROCKY MOUNTIN FEATHERBED
A brand founded in the town of Jackson, Wyoming, USA, in the late 1960s. It enjoys overwhelming popularity in the vintage market as a brand of cold-weather wear for cowboys. The brand, which disappeared in the 1980s, was traded at premium prices among fans, but was revived in 2005.
WAREHOUSE
Since its establishment in 1995, Warehouse has pursued the theme of "faithful reproduction of vintage clothing," never being swayed by the changing trends of the fashion industry. They thoroughly research a vintage piece they encounter, considering the historical background of its production, from a single thread to the fabric, sewing, and even the washing process.

ROCKY MOUNTIN FEATHERBED

CLASSIC TAFFETA
This 70D nylon taffeta is specially ordered for the creation of our iconic down vests. While most nylon taffeta currently on the market has a thread count of 210 and achieves waterproofing by blocking the fabric's weave with an acrylic coating on the back, this results in almost no breathability. CLASSIC TAFFETA is a high-density taffeta with over 50 more threads, and instead of coating, it undergoes a cire finish, which ensures breathability while achieving equivalent waterproofing.

LEATHER
The leather is a combination of tannin and chrome tanning. Dyeing allows the natural texture of the leather to remain.

DOWN
We use European white duck down. The blend is 90% down and 10% feather, with the 10% feather intentionally added to create loft. To maintain high quality, the down is washed and water-repellent treated in Japan.

BUTTON
The Christy is equipped with dedicated shell snap buttons.

Maintenance

■After use
To maintain insulation, hang the down garment after wearing to prevent crushing the loft (fullness) of the down. Maintaining the loft allows the feathers to trap warm air, increasing insulation. We recommend storing it in a well-ventilated area. Also, to prevent damage to the fabric, store it in a location out of direct sunlight.

■Feather protrusion
Occasionally, feathers may protrude from the fabric weave or seams. If they come out from a seam, you can remove them by applying and peeling off tape. If they come out from the fabric, pinch the feather from the inside of the fabric where it is protruding and pull it back into the garment. Gently rubbing the area where the feather protruded will erase the mark.

■Leather care
Brush or wipe the leather yoke with a dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For stubborn dirt or stains, apply a small amount of leather cleaner to a soft cloth and wipe off the dirt. For daily maintenance, apply a small amount of leather preservative oil or cream to a soft cloth and spread it thinly and evenly over the entire surface. Hang the garment until the oil is absorbed. *Always test leather cleaner, preservative oil, or cream in an inconspicuous area before full application.

■Nylon care
Dissolve soap or neutral detergent in water, then apply the solution to a soft sponge or brush and wipe off dirt as if scrubbing. Afterward, thoroughly rinse only the parts that came into contact with the detergent.

■Mouton care
Lightly tap to remove dust and dirt. For stubborn dirt, dissolve soap or neutral detergent in water, then apply it to a soft sponge or cloth and lightly pat to wipe off the dirt.
