■ROCKY MOUNTAIN FEATHERBED Ripstop Nylon Down Vest
![]() Model Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, wearing size 40 A legendary brand, once lost, now fully revived! The Rocky Mountain Featherbed down vest, which debuted in the 1960s in Wyoming, USA, was inspired by Native American capes. It gained immense popularity for its warmth and insulation, like a featherbed, but the brand disappeared in the late 1980s. Vintage items began to fetch high prices among enthusiasts in the vintage market. After thorough research of this legendary brand, the revived Rocky Mountain Featherbed was born, surpassing the original in quality. This item, introduced here, features colors and specifications specially ordered by Warehouse. Warehouse supplies the fabric and leather. The outer and lining fabrics are made of custom-made 70 denier nylon, pursuing comfort and durability. The white duck down, considered the highest quality, is sourced from Europe and then washed and water-repellent treated in Japan. This prevents the loss of insulation when wet, which is a weakness of down. The fill power, indicating the warmth of the down, boasts a top-level 700 fill power. The distinctive shoulder yoke is made from a single piece of horsehide. We intentionally choose leather with natural scratches and unevenness. Reliably made in Japan. This is an item to wear for a long time and enjoy the aging of the leather! ![]() A brand born in the town of Jackson, Wyoming, USA, in the late 1960s. It boasts overwhelming popularity in the vintage market as a cold-weather apparel brand for cowboys. This brand, which disappeared in the 80s, was traded at premium prices among fans but was revived in 2005. ![]() Since its establishment in 1995, WAREHOUSE has been a brand that, while operating in the fashion industry, which is swayed by trends, steadfastly pursues the theme of "faithful reproduction of vintage clothing," without being influenced by fleeting fads. For every vintage piece they encounter, they meticulously research the historical context in which it was produced, from the individual threads to the fabric, sewing, and even the washing process. ![]() ![]() ![]() Brick ![]() ![]() ![]() Black ![]() ![]() ![]() Grey ![]() The leather yoke on the shoulders is intentionally used with the material's natural scratches and color variations. CLASSIC TAFFETA Custom-made 70D nylon taffeta specifically for creating the brand's iconic down vest. Generally, nylon taffeta currently on the market has a thread count of 210 and is made waterproof by applying an acrylic coating on the back to seal the fabric, but it has almost no breathability. CLASSIC TAFFETA is a high-density taffeta with an increased thread count of over 50, and instead of coating, it uses a cire finish, achieving comparable waterproofing while also ensuring breathability. LEATHER The leather is a combination of tannin and chrome tanning. Dyeing with dye preserves the natural texture of the leather. DOWN The down used is European white duck down. With a blend ratio of 90% down and 10% feather, the 10% feather is intentionally added to create loft. To maintain high quality, the down is washed and water-repellent treated in Japan. BUTTON All buttons are secured by bending two prongs. The discontinued mold was specially reproduced. Size Details Click here for how to measure sizes. Material Outer Fabric: 100% Nylon Lining: 100% Nylon Filling: 90% Down, 10% Feather Switching: Horse Leather Label: Cowhide Color Brick, Black, Grey Country of Origin Japan Notes Sizes are actual measurements, and average values are listed. Please note that there may be slight individual differences. Maintenance ■After Use To maintain insulation, store the garment by hanging it after wearing to avoid crushing the loft (fluffiness) of the down. Maintaining loft allows the feathers to trap warm air, enhancing insulation. We recommend storing it in a well-ventilated area. Also, to prevent fabric damage, store it out of direct sunlight. ■Feather Leakage Occasionally, feathers may protrude from the fabric weave or seams. If they appear from seams, you can remove them by applying and peeling off adhesive tape. If they come through the fabric, pinch the feather from the inside of the garment at the affected area and pull it back inside. Gently rub the area where the feather protruded to erase the trace. ■Leather Care Brush or wipe with a dry cloth to remove dust and dirt from the leather yoke. For stubborn dirt or stains, apply a small amount of leather cleaner to a soft cloth and wipe off the dirt. For daily maintenance, apply a small amount of leather conditioning oil or cream to a soft cloth and spread it thinly and evenly over the entire surface. Hang the garment until the oil has fully penetrated. *Always test leather cleaners, oils, or creams on an inconspicuous area before full application. ■Nylon Care Dissolve soap or neutral detergent in water, then apply the solution to a soft sponge or brush and gently wipe off dirt. Afterward, rinse only the detergent-affected areas thoroughly with water. About the Product Many of our products feature designs based on vintage items. To emphasize an authentic feel, there may be slight variations in stitching, fabric color, texture from processing, and color unevenness. Please understand these as part of the product's charm. Also, product specifications (stitching, parts, color, size, etc.) may change without prior notice. We hope you will enjoy these items with the understanding of the points mentioned above. Our products are made from materials that utilize the natural characteristics of leather. Therefore, there may be color unevenness, variations in grain texture, and minor scratches or stains. These are inherent characteristics of natural leather, and we appreciate your understanding. |
