A pullover denim with a straight silhouette. The pullover style, which was also mainstream as workwear at the time, had a straight pattern, and the fabric of this Greenebaum is thought to have matched it perfectly. Details finished with all single stitching. Leather used for reinforcement as side gussets. Furthermore, striped fabric, similar to the sleeve lining of a jacket, was used for the pocket lining, and this has also been thoroughly reproduced. This is a pullover type jumper that can often be seen in photographs of miners from around the end of the 19th century.

GREENEBAUM BROTHERS
It was 150 years ago on May 20, 1873, that Levi Strauss & Co. obtained a patent for "a method of using metal rivets to reinforce the pockets of clothing." One year later, on August 25, 1874, "Greenebaum Brothers," located in the same San Francisco, obtained a patent for reinforcing stress points with leather. Until the rivet patent expired in the 1890s, Greenebaum Brothers' pants were supplied as durable workwear from the booming mining regions of the West to the Midwest. In 2024, Greenebaum Brothers celebrates its 150th anniversary. They will recreate their original design, the "Leather-Bound Overalls," created in the 19th century, using their unique original "two-by-one denim."
