 Model Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, wearing size 42 The U.S. Army Air Forces adopted this lightweight quilted down suit, based in Alaska, in the early days of World War II. Designed by Eddie Bauer in the late 1930s, this suit was originally intended for Alaskan bush pilots. It rapidly gained popularity after U.S. Army Air Forces Lieutenant John Geddes began wearing it for operations in the Aleutian Islands, replacing the very heavy sheepskin flight gear (B-7) of the time.
