WAREHOUSE Lot 1233 U.S.NAVY DENIM TROUSERS
These denim trousers were worn by US Navy sailors as work trousers.
The details feature deeply rounded front pockets, similar to baker pants, and
back pockets without flaps. Later denim trousers (from the 1970s onwards) had
a silhouette with flared hems, like bootcut pants. These, however,
date from World War II to the 1950s. The US Navy referred to them as "dungarees" when paired with indigo chambray or
shawl-collar denim coveralls.
