Developed by Horween Leather Company in Chicago, USA, this is an oiled leather.
This tannery, with over 100 years of history, is also famous for supplying shell cordovan to brands like Alden.
During the leather tanning process, a special oil blend of beef tallow, beeswax, and fish oils is slowly and thoroughly infused over time.
Due to its high oil content, it has a deep, luxurious appearance and a moist, substantial feel to the touch.
Pull-up leather, which brightens in color and changes in impression when stretched, contains more oil within the leather fibers compared to regular oiled leather, giving it the characteristic of its surface brightening when bent.
