[Chromexcel: Supple Leather with a Deep, Luxurious Look] Oiled leather uniquely developed by Horween, based in Chicago, USA. This tannery, with over 100 years of history, is also famous for supplying shell cordovan to Alden. During the hide tanning process, a special blend of beef tallow, beeswax, and fish oil is slowly and thoroughly infused over time. Due to its high oil content, it has a deep, luxurious appearance and a moist, substantial feel to the touch. Pull-up leather, which changes color and impression when stretched, contains more oil within its leather fibers compared to regular oiled leather, giving it the characteristic of brightening on the surface when bent.
