Chromexcel leather from Horween, a long-established American tannery,
is characterized by its traditional manufacturing process of chrome and vegetable tanning, infused with abundant oil,
making it supple and quick to break in.
Although it is prone to minor scratches, these quickly become less noticeable by brushing the leather or applying oil.
Another attractive feature is that it is "hill-dyed," meaning only the surface is dyed, so the brown core will show through with wear.
