Kayoji Yasuda, born in Japan, founded Union Supply Company in 1922 and expanded his business by successfully providing high-quality workwear.
The palaka check fabric shirt-blouse made by the company, though simple in construction, was durable and offered ease of movement, quickly gaining popularity and becoming a representative style of palaka.
This item features a large chain-embroidered logo design on the back.
