The yarn used for this sweatshirt, which determines the texture of the fabric surface, is the same as that used for our popular slub nep T-shirts. Because it is knitted on a rare hanging knitting machine, it results in a thick, soft, yet firm and richly textured fabric. Slub nep yarn is also used for the ribbing, giving it a texture that complements the body fabric. The machine used for knitting is a hanging knitting machine, which is said to "knit air." Since it knits slowly without putting excessive strain on the yarn, the amount knitted per day is very small, and the machines themselves are also scarce, making this a very rare product. This product features hand-warming pockets, a short rib length, and a loose fit in the body and sleeve width. Weight: 795g  It all started in 1997 with the opening of an antenna shop in Kobe. The name UES comes from "waste" (屑・ごみ - scraps, garbage). In Japan, rags (reused old clothes) used to wipe off grease and dirt from machines in ironworks and maintenance shops have long been called "ues." We create products with the hope that they will not just sit in closets before fulfilling their purpose, but rather be utilized until the very end (until they become "ues").
