＜UES's printed T-shirts have five main features＞

1. Excellent compatibility between fabric and print

The plain knit fabric, made from 16-count single yarn, has a large knit pattern, which tends to cause rubber prints to crack along the knit.
However, even with discharge prints, the pigment blends well with the fabric, and the print peel-off results are just right.

2. Strong fabric elasticity and resistance to losing shape even after repeated washing

By using UES's original yarn, which is a blend of desi cotton and organic cotton,
we were able to create a highly elastic fabric that leverages the characteristics of desi cotton.
Desi cotton has thick, short fibers, making it difficult to spin on its own. This problem is solved by blending it with organic cotton.
The excellent elasticity and toughness of desi cotton, so much so that it is used as cushioning material, are reflected in our products.

3. Original slim-fit silhouette

The tight and short pattern is designed to gradually conform to the body with repeated wear and washing.
The finished product has been put through a commercial tumble dryer and is in its most shrunk state.
Knitted fabric has the characteristic that if you pull it vertically (length), it becomes narrower horizontally (width), and conversely, if you pull it horizontally (width), it becomes shorter vertically (length).
For areas that feel tight, stretch the fabric to make it conform to your body.

4. Vintage feel from product dyeing using traditional dyes

We use product dyeing with relatively less colorfast dyes, such as direct dyes and reactive dyes.
We intentionally use fading dyes, considering their compatibility with color-fading denim.
Product dyeing allows for a wide range of color variations.
Furthermore, bio-processing is applied after dyeing to further enhance the depth of the fabric's color and texture.

5. Binder neck

The rib around the neck is attached with a three-fold binder specification.
While T-shirts often wear out around the neck due to stretching, UES T-shirts ensure durability by using thick ribs with a
25mm wide binder neck specification.

It all started in 1997 with the opening of an antenna shop in Kobe. The name UES comes from "waste" – referring to scrap, rubbish, and discarded items. In Japan, used clothes repurposed as rags to clean machinery in ironworks and repair shops have long been called "uesu." We create products with the hope that they will be used until the very end (until they become "uesu"), rather than languishing in closets before fulfilling their purpose.
