 ＜Model: Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, wearing Size 3(L)＞ This yarn-dyed check shirt weighs over 15 ounces. UES original selvage fabric is characterized by its voluminous, wool-like texture and deep color, despite being 100% cotton. Because it uses very thick threads, there are only a limited number of weaving machines in Japan that can handle it, and since old-fashioned shuttle looms are used, the annual production is also limited, making this a rare fabric. Old-fashioned looms are used to gently weave the fabric without excessively pulling the warp threads, in order to bring out the natural texture of the yarn. While this slows down production, it allows for the creation of soft, bulky fabric. The hem of the shirt is piped, designed to be worn untucked from pants. Since it is woven using a power loom, the selvage of the fabric can be seen on the folded-over front left edge of the front body. Even in Japan, which is renowned for its selvage fabrics, there are only a few shuttle looms that can weave such a thick fabric, making this a very rare product. Regarding the fabric pattern, the check pattern is enlarged to give it an outerwear feel. When cutting the parts, skilled craftsmen work together to match the pattern. The larger the pattern, the more fabric is required for one garment. Matching the pattern results in a beautiful finished appearance. Weight: 800g  It all started in 1997 with the opening of an antenna shop in Kobe. The name UES comes from "waste," meaning scraps or garbage. In Japan, the rags (reused old clothes) used to clean machinery in ironworks and maintenance shops have long been called "ues." We create our products with the hope that they will be used until the very end (until they become ues), rather than languishing in a closet before fulfilling their purpose.
