■ Tailor Toyo Vietnam Jacket Aging Model "VIET-NAM PANTHER" Cotton Rayon TT15980

This piece is a custom order from a US soldier stationed at the port of CAM RANH, a city in southern Vietnam, in 1965-66.
On the back, a stylized panther face is embroidered, and such embroidered pieces are rare.
The right chest features a Vietnamese landscape, the left chest has the three characters "Fukurokuju," and the dragons on the sleeves are also one size larger than typical Viet-Jacket designs, reproducing a very rare vintage item.
The rayon-blend cotton twill has undergone an aging process, reproducing the faded fabric and embroidery thread colors due to age.
Characterized by its supple fabric feel and drape, it offers a vintage texture right from new.

VIETNAM JACKET

Similar to Sukajan jackets born in post-war Japan, souvenir jackets created during the Vietnam War from the 1960s to 1970s are commonly known as Viet-Jackets.
They primarily used two types of fabric: cotton twill or camouflage poncho liners, and designs were embroidered with thick, matte-colored threads.
