■Tailor Toyo Vietnam Liner Jacket Viet-Jan VIET-NAM DRAGON TT15978

Based on a vintage piece that a U.S. soldier stationed in Vietnam between 1967 and 1968 acquired locally and brought back home. The sleeves and back feature dragon embroidery with the same design but in different sizes. Such a pattern is rare for a Viet-Jan, and the unique font used for "viet-nam" on the back suggests it was likely a custom-made order by a soldier at the time. The "Fuku" (good fortune) character on the chest is also distinctive for its two-tone color scheme, adding an auspicious touch. The outer shell is made of quilted nylon ripstop fabric. The lining uses acetate for comfort, and it includes batting, providing moderate insulation against the cold.

＜VIETNAM JACKET＞
Commonly known as "Viet-Jan," these souvenir jackets originated during the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s, much like the Sukajan (souvenir jackets) that emerged in postwar Japan. They were primarily made from either cotton twill or camouflage-patterned poncho liners, with designs embroidered in thick, matte-colored thread.
