This piece from the early 1950s depicts an eagle spreading its wings, about to take flight from a pine branch.
The meticulously embroidered eagle, using vibrant orange-brown threads to create gradients in its feathers, stands out beautifully against the black satin fabric.
The tricolor ribbed cuffs, featuring red as the base with navy and white stripes, are also a distinctive feature.

The reversible side features a tiger motif with a wonderfully stylized and expressive face. The body is in a "reverse color" scheme, with the color under the sleeves being darker than the main body.
This blue and black color combination and the block-lettered "JAPAN" are rare in vintage pieces.
The vivid blue of the satin fabric and the contrasting yellow of the glossy rayon embroidery make this a striking piece.
