This season's two Special Edition models are both based on souvenir jackets produced in the late 1940s, during the dawn of their history.
One is a complete reproduction model that replicates vintage embroidery and color schemes on both sides,
The other is an original model that adds Tailor Toyo's unique arrangements to a vintage design.

This is a complete reproduction of a vintage model, with an eagle and dragon glaring at each other against the backdrop of Mount Fuji on the main side.
Since there is no "Japan" text at the top of the back, each motif is drawn larger than usual,
The intricate details capture the three-dimensionality of the eagle's widely spread wings, achieved by meticulously changing the direction of the stitch threads, and the perspective of the approaching dragon's body.
Additionally, the power of the design is emphasized by partially incorporating black threads in areas such as the eagle's beak and talons, and the dragon's mouth. The embroidery stands out against the very rare orange x yellow body.

In contrast, the reversible side features a Japan map design. On vivid blue satin fabric reminiscent of the ocean, an eagle and a dragon glare at each other, flanking a map of Japan.
Among the many vintage souvenir jacket designs, this piece features a particularly large Japan map, and due to the limited space at the top, the "Japan" text is placed not in the center but next to Hokkaido.
Furthermore, there are a great number of place names, depicting major cities and locations related to the US military in intricate detail.
This luxurious embroidered Japan map design is unparalleled, making it truly worthy of the Kosho Special Edition name.

This Special Edition meticulously recreates carefully selected masterpieces from the Tailor Toyo collection, paying close attention to every detail.
Not only are the designs intricately embroidered with horizontal hand-guided stitching, but the acetate fabric's weave density is adjusted to be on par with vintage pieces,
The wool ribs are also knitted one by one using old-fashioned flat knitting machines. For the reversible zipper, original fastening machines from over 50 years ago
were reactivated to reproduce the same hand-bent zippers used at the time. Using the label of Kosho Shokai, the predecessor of Tailor Toyo,
the finish evokes the golden age of vintage souvenir jackets.
