 ＜Model: Height 175cm Weight 62kg, wearing XL＞ A special edition commemorating the Year of the Snake in 2025. Toyo Enterprise, founded in 1965, celebrates its 60th anniversary. Taking the sukajan, which can be considered the root of their company, as its theme, this piece is not a reproduction of a vintage item, but rather features an original design depicted through embroidery. The front side features a black snake coiled and intimidating with Mount Fuji and lightning in the background. In vintage sukajan, dragons are often depicted with thunderclouds, and since dragons and snakes have been closely related in Japan since ancient times, this piece incorporates that composition, resulting in a design that evokes the atmosphere of those made in the 1950s. The motif is the "Yamagakashi" (tiger keelback), said to be the most venomous snake in Japan. In alignment with the yellow of its belly, yellow accents are also added to the ribs and sleeve piping, emphasizing the power of the black-based embroidery. In contrast to the somewhat stylized design on the front, the reversible side depicts a realistic Yamagakashi coiled around a pine branch. This side is inspired by individuals with red markings, a warning coloration unique to venomous snakes. The faded, pinkish-red and black checkered pattern is intricately expressed using the three-dimensional effect of horizontal embroidery, creating a piece where the flashy embroidery stands out against the monochrome body. Furthermore, for this 60th anniversary, a slider (zipper pull) engraved with the logo of "Kosho," the predecessor of Tailor Toyo, was specially produced and used. The result is a finish befitting an anniversary model. ＜KOSHO CO. SPECIAL EDITION＞ This Special Edition meticulously reproduces carefully selected masterpieces from the Tailor Toyo collection. In addition to the intricate designs drawn with horizontal embroidery, the acetate fabric weave has been adjusted to be on par with vintage pieces, and the wool ribs are knitted one by one using old-fashioned flat knitting machines. For the reversible zipper, fastening machines from over 50 years ago have been reactivated to reproduce the same hand-bent zippers used back then. Using the label of Kosho Shokai, the predecessor of Tailor Toyo, the finish evokes the heyday of vintage sukajan.
