 Model: Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, wearing size L This piece depicts a tiger perched on rocks. The glossy yellow rayon thread stands out against the matte dark navy velour fabric. The moderately stylized tiger embroidery is a size larger than that of other vintage Sukajans, giving it a strong impact. The characteristic "JAPAN" lettering and the vertically longer rising dragon on the sleeves are also key features. The reversible side features a Japan Map design with a map of Japan on a solid black body. The inclusion of the Korean Peninsula indicates that it is a piece from the mid-1950s. Motifs such as Mount Fuji and dragons are also added, and a red cherry blossom is placed in the center of the back as an accent, showcasing the perfect balance and the sensibility of the craftsmen of that time. ＜VELVETEEN SOUVENIR JACKET＞ Many early souvenir jackets were reversible with acetate fabric, but there were also variations that used velour fabric with a fuzzy texture. Adding batting increased warmth, and the acetate on the reversible side was quilted to hold the batting in place.
