 A souvenir vest custom-made in 1962 by a U.S. soldier stationed in Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam. The chest features "HAPPINESS" instead of the kanji character "福," with a design of the American flag and the South Vietnamese flag crossed. The back features a uniquely stylized tiger pattern. Available in two patterns: a 1960s woodland camouflage liner fabric and an original nylon ripstop fabric printed with tiger stripe. With padding, it offers moderate warmth and is a versatile layering piece. VIETNAM JACKET Similar to the Sukajan jacket born in postwar Japan, the souvenir jacket that emerged during the Vietnam War from the 1960s to the 1970s is commonly known as the "Vietjan." Mainly made from two types of fabric, cotton twill or camouflage poncho liner, with patterns embroidered using thick, matte colored threads.
