 ＜Model: 175cm tall, 62kg weight, wearing size Large (L)＞ A special edition commemorating the year of the Snake (2025). While snake motifs are rare among vintage items, this piece is a luxurious "double-sided" jacket, combining the main designs of two rare vintage jackets into one. The front side features an early 1950s design depicting a pit viper (mamushi) in search of prey. The dynamism is expressed by varying the embroidery stitch length to match the serpent's winding movements, and the distinctive coin pattern (a circle with a dot inside) is rendered with layered horizontal embroidery to emphasize its three-dimensionality, masterfully capturing the intimidating presence of the approaching viper. Multiple colored threads are used for the bamboo and leaves, creating a gradient from white to green to express a deep, nocturnal bamboo grove. The black and gold body and ribs are accented with red and white piping. The reversible side features an eagle spreading its wings, holding a white snake in its beak. The intricate details, including the shadows of the feathers, are precisely depicted with overlapping gradations of pale colored threads such as white, gold, and pink. Black accents on the eagle's head, the snake's scales, and the pine branch it perches on tighten the embroidery. In addition, while it is common for the body and sleeve stripe colors to match on regular souvenir jackets, this piece features a wine-colored body with green under-sleeves and silver mountain lines on the sleeves. The three-color combination body is a rare specification even in vintage pieces, and like the embroidery, the black accents on the ribs tighten the overall look. ＜KOSHO CO. SPECIAL EDITION＞ This Special Edition meticulously reproduces selected masterpieces from Tailor Toyo's collection. Not only are the designs precisely depicted with horizontal embroidery, but the acetate fabric is adjusted to be comparable to vintage quality, and the wool ribs are individually knitted using old-fashioned flat knitting machines. The reversible zippers also reproduce the hand-bent type from that era, by reactivating fastening machines from over 50 years ago. Using the label of Kosho Shokai, the predecessor of Tailor Toyo, it evokes the golden age of vintage souvenir jackets.
