 Model: Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, wearing size L This model uses a rare mint green velour fabric, which is very unusual among vintage souvenir jackets. Based on a piece from the mid-1950s, it depicts an eagle spreading its wings, ready to take flight from the waves. Other than the body, it is composed of black and off-white monochromes, including not only the embroidery threads but also the ribs and sleeve rope piping, creating a sophisticated impression. In contrast, the reversible side features a Japan Map pattern with colorful embroidery on a green body. Looking at the map of Japan, many place names in the Tohoku region are written, suggesting that it was sold at PX stores on US military bases in Misawa and Hachinohe, or at souvenir shops around the bases. ＜VELVETEEN SOUVENIR JACKET＞ Early souvenir jackets were often reversible acetate, but variations at the time also included models using napped velveteen fabric. Padding was added to enhance warmth, and the acetate on the reversible side was quilted to hold the padding in place.  A long-established brand that has been supplying US military camps since the birth of souvenir jackets. It consistently leads the industry as the top brand for souvenir jackets. They also release many perfectly crafted items every year, including Sugar Cane and Buzz Rickson's.
