 Model: Height 175cm Weight 62kg wearing size L This souvenir jacket with an Alaskan pattern, rare and highly popular even among vintage items, is commonly known as an "Alaska-jan." Among them, a particularly rare piece from the late 1950s, depicting a mountain goat, has been reproduced. It features a luxurious combination of motifs, with dog sleds on the sleeves and polar bears and lightning bolts on the chest. Alaska, with its vast wilderness, is called "America's Last Frontier," and this message is embroidered at the bottom. The reversible side features motifs unique to Alaska, such as the state flag, Denali (Mount McKinley), and totem poles. This piece was produced in the 1950s by Kosho (the predecessor of Tailor Toyo) at the request of the US military and sold at the PX (post exchange) on the Alaskan base. ＜VELVETEEN SOUVENIR JACKET＞ While many early souvenir jackets were reversible with acetate fabric, there were also variations at the time that used velvet fabric with a brushed texture. Adding batting increased warmth, and the acetate on the reversible side was quilted to hold the batting in place.  A long-established brand that has been delivering to US military camps since the birth of Sukajan. We always lead the industry as the top brand of Sukajan.
