The last masterpiece of American New Cinema, "TAXI DRIVER", was released in 1967. We have reproduced the Tankers jacket worn by the famous actor, Robert De Niro, in the film. The actual item worn by De Niro in the film is currently carefully preserved. Toys McCoy thoroughly researched and verified the details of the actual item. They meticulously reproduced the method of making the patches attached to the actual item, the way the sleeve ribs are sewn, the zippers, and the relined lining. Of course, in addition to the sleeves, length, body width, and shoulder width, the size of the patches and prints were also measured down to the millimeter. This is a completely reproduced model that was only made possible by the pride of those who have carefully preserved the actual item for over 40 years, and by Toys McCoy's dedication to recreating it. Please experience the daily life of Travis Bickle, the solitary man played by Robert De Niro, with this single piece. 【Reproduced Details】 ・Patch The patch on the right chest, based on the US Navy Armed Reconnaissance Force emblem, is directly embroidered on cavalry twill. The King Kong patch on the left shoulder is made with freehand embroidery, print, and hand paint. Both are attached by hand-stitched whipstitch. ・Action Pleats The action pleats on the back, which allow for mobility, are sewn shut with stitches. It is presumed that this modification was made to fit De Niro's physique. ・Lining The lining has been replaced with red quilting. The subtle shade is faithfully reproduced with color chips. ・Zipper As it is an actual item from the 1940s, the zipper is made by TALON. It is the 2nd model "M-40" from the early days of the war. ・Stencil on the Back The "BICKLE.T" stencil printed on the back is slightly shifted to the left of the center line. Also, each letter was printed without being aligned at the bottom. The position and letter spacing are also faithfully reproduced. ・Sleeve Ribs The sleeve length was cut to fit De Niro, and the ribs were sewn back on. Therefore, there is no stitching at the cuffs.
