The Sun Surf logo is printed on the left chest, and on the back is a reproduction of a vintage advertisement for the "S. Hata Building," a historical landmark built by the real-life Japanese businessman, Sadanosuke Hata.
The body is not Sun Surf's usual Made in U.S.A. but instead uses Japanese-made slub yarn fabric, also used in Buzz Rickson's T-shirts.
This fabric is characterized by its uneven surface and texture, woven with threads that vary irregularly in thickness. It is tubular knit.
