■STUDIO D'ARTISAN 45th Anniversary Limited Edition 13oz Ishikawadai Denim Tapered Fit Jeans SP-086
 Model Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, wearing size 31 The "Ishikawadai" is the oldest operational Japanese-made ring spinning machine, manufactured by Ishikawa Seisakusho Co., Ltd. in 1953. There are no records from the manufacturer, and it is believed to be the oldest spinning machine currently operating in Japan. Compared to the latest ring spinning machines, its speed is about 1/3, and its productivity is not high because it can only spin at a slow speed. However, because it puts less strain on the cotton, it brings out the inherent soft texture of the cotton, creating an unevenness that is like hand-spun yarn, with a natural expression unique to cotton that cannot be replicated by computers. To preserve the unique texture of this cotton, the indigo dyeing of the warp yarn omits the usual refining process, intentionally creating an uneven indigo dye, similar to vintage denim from that era. To reproduce denim from 1953, all processes are intentionally carried out using low-tech methods. Products made with "Ishikawadai Denim," which uses yarn spun on this Ishikawadai machine, will repeatedly undergo aging and be given new life as the next generation of vintage wear as they are worn. At that time, the concept of making jeans, which are now called vintage replicas, hardly existed in the Japanese jeans market.
