■STUDIO D'ARTISAN 45th Anniversary Limited Edition 13oz Ishikawadai Denim Tapered Fit Jeans SP-086
 Model Height: 175cm, Weight: 62kg, Wearing size 31 (non-wash) The "Ishikawadai" is the oldest Japanese-made ring spinning machine currently in operation, manufactured by Ishikawa Seisakusho Co., Ltd. in 1953. No records remain from the manufacturer, and it is currently believed to be the oldest spinning machine operating in Japan. Compared to the latest ring spinning machines, its speed is only about 1/3, and its productivity is not high due to its slow spinning capability. However, because it puts less stress on the cotton, it preserves the cotton's natural, soft texture and creates an unevenness that resembles hand-spun yarn, producing a natural look unique to cotton that cannot be replicated by computers. To avoid damaging the unique texture of this cotton, the indigo dyeing of the warp threads omits the usual yarn scouring process, resulting in an uneven indigo dye, just like vintage denim from that era. To reproduce denim from 1953, all processes are intentionally performed using low-tech methods. Products made with "Ishikawadai Denim" using yarn spun on this Ishikawadai machine will undergo repeated aging and be given new life as the next generation of vintage wear. At that time, the concept of making jeans, which are now called vintage replicas, hardly existed in the Japanese jeans market.
