It is said that the roots of the "Sukajan" or souvenir jacket began shortly after World War II, when American soldiers stationed in Japan at the Yokosuka U.S. military base ordered tailor shops to embroider oriental patterns or emblems of their units and bases as souvenirs.

The front features Indy and Clipper surfing the waves from "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji." The back features a thick embroidered pattern inspired by Osaka's symbols.

The name "Studio D'Artisan," founded in 1979, means "artisan's workshop." At that time, the concept of making jeans, now called vintage replicas, hardly existed in the Japanese jeans market. It is a pioneering brand that laid the foundation for manufacturing, pursuing the dream of reproducing the authentic flavor of jeans, overshadowed by efficiency aimed at mass production.
