■SUGAR CANE 14oz 50's Zipper Fly Jeans SC42955A
 A zipper fly model released in the mid-1950s, developed not as workwear but as fashion wear, with the Eastern US market in mind. While pre-shrunk denim models would appear in the mid-1960s, at this time, the same un-shrunk raw denim as button-fly models was still used. Features of this era include unusually short thick stitching on the sides, and a center back belt loop offset to the left to avoid thick sections for production efficiency and thread saving. Following vintage specifications, the belt loops are reproduced using lighter ounce denim than the body. The silhouette is a regular straight, similar to the 1947 model. The denim fabric is based on vintage, with the yarn and dyeing for this model newly developed from scratch, resulting in a different texture from the 1947 model. The zipper is a brass pin-lock type GRIPPER ZIPPER. Being cotton tape, it can be expected to age similarly to the denim. A masterpiece created by meticulously reproducing vintage denim through every step of spinning, dyeing, weaving, and sewing. Cherished by many for years, it continues to be produced as a staple. This is true "STANDARD."  SUGAR CANE, which has been making meticulously crafted button-down wear for many years, is a long-established vintage American casual wear brand of Toyo Enterprise, which also owns flight jacket and collectible Hawaiian shirt brands such as Buzz Rickson's and Sun Surf.
