■SUGAR CANE Standard Jeans SC42460 1947 Model 14.25oz Black Denim
 Model Height 175cm, Weight 62kg, Wearing 30 inches SUGAR CANE's masterpiece, the "1947 Model," is newly released in black denim, which has seen rising prices in vintage items in recent years. The fabric, woven with black warp and ecru weft, allows for aging just like indigo. The details faithfully reproduce the luxurious specifications seen in jeans from the late 1940s, after the war, and the stitching is uniformly black. The silhouette is regular straight. STANDARD DENIM Reproducing vintage denim by focusing on every step of the process—spinning, dyeing, weaving, and sewing— results in masterpieces that have been loved by many for years and continue to be produced as classics. This is the true "STANDARD." Button Fly Front While most modern apparel features zipper flies, button flies were the mainstream in 1947. One reason for this is that if the fabric, which is not pre-shrunk, is washed after the zipper is attached, the fabric may shrink and render the zipper unusable. Following vintage styles, iron buttons with original engravings are used. Coin Pocket The edge of the coin pocket opening features selvedge. It is reinforced with copper punch-through rivets. With repeated wear and washing, the denim fabric fades, and the rivets oxidize, showing beautiful aging. Waistband, Belt Loops, Leather Patch When stitching the top of the waistband, the belt loops and leather patch are sewn on together. The patch is made of deerskin. Looking at vintage jeans, there were periods when the center back belt loop was offset, but the 1947 model is centered. Similar to vintage items made during a time when standards were not unified, great attention to detail has been paid to faithfully reproduce the originals, such as using dozens of different colored and thicknesses of cotton threads for various parts of the stitching. Hip Pocket Stitching The hip pocket stitching on both sides starts from the upper right edge stitch, goes to the upper left of the pocket, then curves inward, and returns to the upper right with an inner stitch, completing it in a single motion. A grey hidden bartack, applied for reinforcement, is slightly visible. Concealed Rivets Exposed rivets could scratch saddles, cars, or furniture, so concealed rivets, adopted from 1937, can be seen from the inside. Pocket Bag Selvedge, Crotch Reinforcement The pocket bag of the hip pocket. Selvedge is used at the edge of the seam allowance at the bottom. For the crotch stitching, which undergoes stress, thick cotton thread is used. Reinforcing bartacks are added to the thick areas where the fabric gathers. Pocket Bags, Hem Selvedge, and Chain Stitching The pocket bags viewed from the inside. The corners are finished with a curve. The edge of the outseam allowance uses selvedge.
