■SUGAR CANE Standard Jeans SC41947A 1947 Model 14.25oz Denim
![]() Model Height 175cm, Weight 60kg, Wearing 30 inches Not only is the shape simple, but the quality of the yarn, dyeing, sewing, and specifications are also excellent, and the price is kept down, so that many people can enjoy it for a long time. As a result, jeans that can be continued to be made as a standard item, isn't that what true "STANDARD" is? With this in mind, "STANDARD JEANS" was born. The model is based on the 1947 vintage original model. The main reason for choosing this was the deep indigo blue color and the beautiful blue that remains clear even after fading. To reproduce this, we scientifically analyzed the properties of the raw cotton and the components of the indigo. Another major appeal of this model is the rich unevenness that appears when worn. For this reason, the thickness of the yarn is made uneven. It was woven powerfully on a power loom. Furthermore, because this model was made in an era when standards were not unified, There are subtle details, such as the use of several types of sewing thread. Such specifications were faithfully reproduced from the original. In this way, we were thoroughly particular about all processes, from spinning, weaving, dyeing, and sewing. This "STANDARD JEANS SC41947" is packed with the charm of the 1947 original model. Button fly front Most modern clothing has zip flies, but in 1947, button flies were mainstream. This is one of the reasons why, since these jeans use unshrinkable fabric, washing after attaching a zipper could cause the fabric to shrink and make the zipper unusable. Following vintage examples, original stamped iron buttons are used. Coin pocket Selvage is used at the edge of the coin pocket opening. It is reinforced with punched copper rivets. As the denim fabric fades with repeated wear and washing, the rivets oxidize and show beautiful aging. Waistband, belt loops, leather patch When stitching the upper part of the waistband, the belt loops and leather patch are sewn on together. The patch is made of deer leather. While some vintage jeans show the back center belt loop offset at times, the 1947 model is centered. Similar to vintage items made in an era before unified standards, the sewing faithfully reproduces details such as using dozens of types of cotton thread of different colors and thicknesses in various places. Hip pocket stitching The hip pocket stitching on both the left and right sides begins from the top right edge stitch, goes to the top left of the pocket, then goes inward, It's a one-stroke specification where the inner stitch is added and returns to the top right. A gray hidden bartack for reinforcement is slightly visible. Concealed rivets Exposed rivets could damage horse saddles, cars, furniture, etc., so Concealed rivets, adopted in 1937, can be seen from the inside. Pocket bag selvage, crotch reinforcement The pocket bag. Selvage is used at the edge of the seam allowance at the bottom. For the stitches in the stressed crotch area, Thick cotton thread is used. Reinforcing bartacks are inserted into the thick parts where the fabric gathers. Pocket bag, hem selvage and chain stitch The pocket bag as seen from the inside. The corners are finished with a curve. The seam allowance edge of the outseam uses selvage. The inside of the hem stitch is a chain stitch. ![]() SUGAR CANE, which has been making meticulously crafted button-down wear for many years, is a long-established brand of vintage American casual wear from Toyo Enterprise, which also owns flight jacket and collectible Hawaiian shirt brands such as Buzz Rickson's and Sun Surf.
