The Mister Freedom series is a collaboration between Sugar Cane and Christophe Loiron, owner of an LA select shop with many Hollywood celebrity clients. This version is an arrangement of the Mister Freedom "Sportsman Shirt" pattern with a band collar. The design is inspired by classic workwear shirts and vintage men's fashion from the 1920s to the 1950s. It's a unique interpretation of detachable collar shirts from the 1920s to 1930s. ＜Fabric＞ NOS "Turkey Red" calico, discharge print, 100% cotton. ＜Details＞ Band collar with a thin chin strap. Chest pocket with reverse box pleat. Vintage 1920s French glass buttons. Extended pleats on the shoulder yoke. Indigo poplin facings and side gussets. Chain stitch construction. Made in USA *NOS: NEW OLD STOCK - Vintage fabric or products stored without being used. ＜Christophe Loiron＞ Born in Montpellier, Southern France in 1966. Due to his father's work, he spent his childhood in Africa. After returning to France, he joined the French Navy. In the 1990s, he moved to America, inspired by stars like Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, and Elvis Presley. He then worked as a buyer for American Rag Cie and others, before opening his own shop, PLASTIC JESUS, in 1995. In 2002, he opened MISTER FREEDOM, a vintage store and studio, in Hollywood. Designers in the fashion industry and Hollywood movie stylists visited to see his selection, making it a famous shop overnight. He is currently also active as a designer, and his designs, with his extensive knowledge of vintage, have many fans. Weight: 380g  SUGAR CANE has been consistently producing meticulously crafted button-down wear for many years. It is a well-established brand of vintage American casual wear from Toyo Enterprises, which also owns flight jacket and collectible Hawaiian shirt brands such as Buzz Rickson's and Sun Surf.   461 Red
