The Mister Freedom series is a collaboration between Sugar Cane and Christophe Loiron, owner of an LA select shop with many Hollywood celebrity clients. This version of the Mister Freedom "Sportsman Shirt" pattern has been rearranged with a band collar. The design is inspired by classic workwear shirts from the 1920s to 1950s and vintage men's fashion. It's a unique interpretation of detachable collar shirts from the 1920s-1930s. NOS Cone Mills Indigo Jacquard, 100% cotton, 6.5 oz. Band collar with a narrow chin strap. Chest pockets with inverted box pleats. Vintage French glass buttons from the 1920s. Extended shoulder yoke pleats. Indigo poplin facings and side gussets. Chain stitch construction. Made in USA *NOS...NEW OLD STOCK - vintage fabrics or products stored unused. Born in Montpellier, Southern France in 1966. Due to his father's work, he spent his childhood in Africa. After returning to France, he joined the French Navy. In the 1990s, he admired stars like Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, and Elvis Presley and moved to America. After working as a buyer for American Rag Cie, he opened his own shop, PLASTIC JESUS, in 1995. Then, in 2002, he opened MISTER FREEDOM, a vintage store and studio, in Hollywood. Designers in the fashion industry and stylists for Hollywood movies visited to see his selections, and the shop quickly became famous. He is currently also active as a designer, and his designs, which are thoroughly knowledgeable about vintage, have many fans. Weight: 380g  SUGAR CANE has been producing button-down wear with meticulous attention to detail for many years. It is a long-established brand of vintage American casual wear from Toyo Enterprises, which also owns flight jacket and collectible Hawaiian shirt brands such as Buzz Rickson's and Sun Surf.   421 Navy
