■SUGAR CANE Mister Freedom Sugar Cane Fiber 13oz. Awa Indigo Blend Right-Hand Twill Denim Cossack Jacket SC15431
 The Mister Freedom series was planned jointly by Sugar Cane and Christophe Loiron, the owner of an LA select shop with many Hollywood celebrity clients. It uses Awa indigo denim, the same as Sugar Cane's classic jeans SC42202A. Awa indigo and indigo are blended, and rope dyeing, similar to vintage denim, is applied to create a 13oz selvedge Awa indigo blend denim. It is made from sugar cane fiber, with a composition of 70% cotton and 30% sugar cane. It is characterized by its strong reddish indigo color and slubby texture. The design is inspired by 1930s leather sports jackets, Cossacks. It features a luxurious construction, including a boxy silhouette typical of the 1930s, sleeve and cuff shapes with the same structure as a lunch blouse, and buttons carved from corozo (ivory palm) sourced from South America. The fabric is manufactured at Sugar Cane's domestic factory, while the sewing and finishing are done at a small family-run workshop in California, USA. Born in Montpellier, Southern France, in 1966. Due to his father's work, he spent his childhood in Africa and joined the French Navy after returning to France. In the 1990s, he moved to America, inspired by stars such as Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, and Elvis Presley. After working as a buyer for American Rag Cie and others, he opened his own shop, PLASTIC JESUS, in 1995, and then MISTER FREEDOM, a vintage store and studio, in Hollywood in 2002. It quickly became a famous shop, with fashion industry designers and Hollywood movie stylists visiting to see his selections. He is currently also active as a designer, and his designs, based on his extensive knowledge of vintage, have many fans.  SUGAR CANE has been making meticulously crafted button-down wear for many years. It is a long-established brand of vintage American casual wear under Toyo Enterprise, which also owns flight jacket and collectible Hawaiian shirt brands such as Buzz Rickson's and Sun Surf.
