■SAMURAI JEANS 15.8oz SAMURAI COTTON GL3 SELVEDGE S2000HX2

This is a renewed model of the Samurai Vintage Series "S2000HX".
The denim is "15.8oz Samurai Cotton GL3 Selvedge", woven on an old-style power loom (GL3) using Samurai Cotton for the weft threads.
The pocket bags are made of olive-colored herringbone twill.
The top button is an iron laurel button, and the smaller buttons below it are SAMURAI JAPAN iron buttons.
The SAMURAI CO LTD rivets and hidden rivets are brass two-pronged type with a voluminous shape.
The leather patch is based on the design of the early Samurai Jeans WWII model, and the flasher has a camouflage pattern.

It also incorporates basic specifications typical of WWII models, such as distinctive stitching and an unfinished fly bottom.
The silhouette is a slightly wide straight cut with ample room in the rise and hips.

This project began with the desire to "create entirely domestically produced products with our own hands."
It's a challenging endeavor to cultivate cotton ourselves and produce high-quality clothing from the harvested cotton.
Cotton cultivation, once thriving in Japan, declined after the Meiji era, and now approximately 99.9% of cotton is imported.
Particularly in Osaka, traditional Japanese cotton cultivation flourished from the Edo period.
Samurai Jeans aims to inherit Japan's disappearing cotton culture and techniques,
and continues to challenge itself in domestic manufacturing to pass on Japanese pride to the next generation.
