 Named after Charles Beckman, who founded the Red Wing Shoe Company in 1905, the "Beckman Boot" was created in 2006 by blending materials and tastes of today with boots from the early 20th century, the company's founding period. It quickly became a hugely popular product, but due to the impact on the production system from COVID-19 and other factors, manufacturing was suspended. We received numerous requests for its return, and now, the newly reborn Beckman is making a triumphant reappearance. The Beckman re-released this season features design improvements that heavily reflect the opinions of the development team who originally created the Beckman. The same upper is now built on a more anatomically considered last, and a thin layer of Poron foam has been added under the leather heel pad for a more comfortable fit. The leather insole remains unchanged, and the outsole is now Gro Cord, similar to the flatbox. Speed hooks added to the upper make them easy to put on and take off. The stitching has been changed to match each leather, making it easy to care for with colored cream without worrying about staining. The leather boasts an elegant sheen. The sole features a traditional leather sole with a grippy resin half-sole attached. This combination of elements evokes traditional American boots that add practicality to a formal style. From smart styles to casual coordinates, its versatile style will likely make it one of Red Wing's top sellers again. If the leather surface appears dry, apply a thin layer of "Mink Oil" or "All Natural Leather Conditioner." After allowing it to sit for about 30 minutes, it is recommended to wipe off any excess oil remaining on the leather surface with a dry cloth. If you wish to add shine, you can polish it with cream. For polishing that covers scratches and adds color, "Boot Cream / Brown" is suitable, but "Boot Cream / Neutral (colorless)" can also be used. After applying about a few coffee beans' worth of boot cream over the entire surface, polish with a soft cloth or brush. Also, regular brushing is effective in preventing dirt and mold on your boots. Please use a Red Wing "Brush" made of long horsehair, which is highly effective in removing dust. Compared to the old Beckman's No. 8 last, the instep area is tighter. It is often observed that customers go up half a size. Red Wing products can continue to receive repairs at the manufacturer's head office. In addition to sole replacement, they can handle restitching, reattachment of hardware, and other repairs as much as possible.
