 Red Wing's new collection, "WEEKENDER." It features a slightly thinner upper leather than existing work boots, a lightweight outsole, and a lightweight construction, resulting in a light and comfortable fit. The new leather, White Sand Mojave, is a soft-toned white-based leather. Its bright color gives the Weekender an even livelier look. Red Wing's roughout leather is made by simply reversing full-grain leather, so the high fiber density grain (leather surface) is not processed and is used as is on the inside. Scratches are less noticeable, and since the leather's grain is not exposed on the outside, it is resistant to natural elements like rain, making it an uncompromising leather that can be maintained with minimal care. "Stitchdown Construction" Stitchdown construction is one of the oldest shoemaking methods in the world, dating back to the 17th century. The edge of the upper leather spreads out over the midsole like the brim of a hat, and the midsole is sewn and secured to the upper. Like other Red Wing boots, stitchdown construction allows for resoling. Please be aware that genuine leather products may have unique wrinkles.  ■Mojave White Sand Roughout Mojave leather is waterproof roughout leather. It is treated to prevent water penetration while ensuring breathability. (The brushed surface of the leather may get wet, but the treatment prevents moisture from seeping through the leather to the inside.) It is designed to maintain suppleness without the need for oil and does not contain oil to ensure breathability. Therefore, to maintain breathability, do not use oil-based shoe care products on this leather. For care, use the rubber bar (eraser type) included in the "Roughout/Nubuck Cleaner Kit" to remove surface dirt, then use the same brush to brush the leather surface to raise the nap. Although it is waterproof leather, if you wear it on rainy days, spraying "Leather Protector" beforehand will strengthen its water repellency and prevent dirt from adhering to the brushed surface. Also, regular brushing is effective in preventing dirt and mold on the boots. Please use a Red Wing "brush" made of long horsehair, which is highly effective in removing dust.
