 Pecos boots are Western-style work boots developed by Red Wing Shoes. Western boots, originally derived from Spanish riding boots, are pull-on boots with side seams on both sides of the shaft. Most of them have a slightly pointed toe and a high heel, which was suitable for smoothly inserting the foot into the stirrup and holding firm while riding. Red Wing Shoes once had a base in Texas and sold Western boots in the 1930s. The Pecos boot was created by applying Red Wing Shoes' expertise in functional work boot design to these Western boots, resulting in a simple, sturdy boot suitable for various types of work. Pecos boots were trademarked and first launched in 1959 with five models. Afterward, sales steadily increased throughout the United States and Central America, including the Southwest and Texas, growing into a major pillar of Red Wing's work boot business, and various models were created. Among these, the #1155 in Velva Retan, released in 1964, became a long-seller with stable demand. In 2007, when products were divided between the work market and the fashion market, it was discontinued in Japan, and for the Japanese market, the leather was changed to Amber Harness, and it became a different product number, #8159. Later, the leather was changed again to Cigar Retan, and the product number became #8845, which is now discontinued. This time, the #1155 (current leather is Brown Boomer), which is still sold in the work market, will be handled in Japan. It has an 11-inch shaft, a high heel, and the most pointed toe among Pecos boots, making it a typical Western boot style. It also incorporates features unique to work products, such as a highly cushioned Poron insole. *PECOS is a registered trademark of Red Wing Shoes, and this name cannot be used for shoes other than ours. It is also trademarked in Japan. Red Wing products can always be repaired at the manufacturer's headquarters. In addition to sole replacement, we can also re-stitch seams, reattach hardware, and more. We offer repair services for as many issues as possible.  If the leather surface appears dry, apply a thin layer of "Mink Oil" or "All Natural Leather Conditioner." After allowing it to sit for about 30 minutes, it is recommended to wipe off any remaining oil from the leather surface with a dry cloth. Additionally, regular brushing is effective in preventing dirt and mold on your boots. Please use a Red Wing "Brush" made of long horsehair, which is highly effective in removing dust.
