From Buzz Rickson's, a perfect reproduction of the 1942 model military chinos is now available. The sides, inseam, and seat are constructed with two-needle lapped seams. At the time, the number of sewing machines capable of this technique was extremely limited, making it a production method with low output. The pocket openings also feature double-welt specifications, which require advanced sewing techniques. The buttons are recreated metal buttons made of aluminum alloy, and are stamped with "U.S. ARMY." A mil-spec label is attached to the inner pocket bag fabric, displaying all the data for this model. The fabric material is a fine, sturdy cotton. It features a moderately crisp, glossy finish. The silhouette has a deep rise and is wide, and this 1942 model is one of the easiest-to-wear military chinos, pairing well with various items. The fine details reproduce the original specifications of the time. Trends don't matter! This is truly a man's pair of pants!  Buzz Rickson's is a military brand of Toyo Enterprise Co., Ltd., which owns vintage American casual brands such as Sugar Cane and Sun Surf. The company's relationship with the military is long-standing, with roots in supplying souvenir jackets (such as Sukajan) and other products to US military bases during its predecessor, Koshō Shōji. In 1993, it released its first flight jacket. Since then, the military wear it has reproduced, like Sun Surf's Hawaiian shirts and Sugar Cane's denim wear, are all perfectly crafted.
