■DALLES CO DELUXEWARE 1941's 3-Pocket Coverall Lo.4 DELUXEWARE

In the 1920s, steam rose with the dawn in the factory district of Detroit, and engineers and mechanics headed to their grease-covered workplaces.
Their bodies were protected by coveralls supplied by Midland Overall Co. Cotton harvested in the South was
transformed into denim and duck at textile mills in North Carolina, and then tailored into workwear at sewing factories on the East Coast.
It was transported to the Midwest via the railroad network, becoming the "daily attire" of those who worked with iron and those who worked with soil. It protected against sparks,
repelled mud, and was repaired and reused when torn. While being a consumable item, it was also a tool that etched the memories of labor.

INDIGO 10.5oz PAINTER DENIM
10.5oz painter denim fabric produced in Ibara, Okayama Prefecture. The weft yarn is a dark rope-dyed indigo yarn,
and a gray yarn is woven into the weft, creating a unique color and texture characteristic of 1950s painter denim.

BROWN Plain Weave
A duck canvas fabric made by plain weaving with an old-style shuttle loom, using two No. 10 yarns for the warp and one No. 10 yarn for the weft. It is characterized by its high density, yet still has firmness and body.
