This rugged, thin tracker wallet, which can hold the bare minimum, is made from Horween Chromexcel leather, arguably the most popular leather among American casual fans. Chromexcel leather is characterized by its traditional manufacturing method of mixed chrome and tannin tanning, and it is rich in oil, making it supple and quick to break in. Although it is prone to fine scratches, they quickly become unnoticeable with a leather brush or by applying oil. Another attractive feature is that it is "hill-dyed," meaning only the surface is dyed, so the brown core becomes visible with use.

Opening the flap, held by two buttons, reveals a very simple structure with four card pockets, one bill pocket, and three free pockets. The tracker wallet is based on what American truck drivers in the 1950s used for collecting money. (At the time, it was said that they would put delivery slips and the like in it.) It is said that they would take it out while driving because it would get in the way if kept in their pocket during long drives. To prevent leaving the wallet behind when getting out of the car, a wallet chain was attached (there are various theories). It is believed that the tracker wallet, which held the bare necessities for driving, gained immense popularity among American bikers and spread widely.
