The collection theme for 2026 is "SHIBU-KAJI."
This collection is based on "Shibu Kaji" (Shibuya Casual), which was popular mainly in Shibuya, Tokyo, from the late 1980s to the 1990s, with modern elements added.
It features products that evoke nostalgia for youth while being timeless and durable.
The standard SMOKER SHIRTS are made from indigo check fabric for this collection.
Because the warp threads are rope-dyed, the dye does not penetrate to the core, leaving a white core that allows for realistic aging with repeated wear.
The design is based on the symmetrical "Gacha Poke" (asymmetrical pockets) often seen around the 1930s, arranged with sizing and specifications that are easy to match with modern styling.
The name "SMOKER SHIRTS" originated from BIG YANK in the 1920s when they designed a floating left chest pocket lining for holding cigarettes.
